NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the North Newton Township Board of Supervisors, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania that:
The following proposal for an addition to the agricultural security area (ASA) within the Township has been filed with the Board of Supervisors pursuant to the provisions of the Agricultural Area Security Law (Act of June 30, 1981, P.L. 128, No. 43 and all revisions to this statute).

The proposal is on file at the Municipal Office, 528 Oakville Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257 for public inspection. Arrangements to inspect the proposal may be made by contacting the Township Secretary at (717) 776-7665.
Any municipality whose territory encompasses the proposed area, or any landowner who owns land proposed to be included with the ASA, or any landowner with lands adjacent to or near the proposed ASA who wishes such lands to be included or not included therein, may propose modifications or objections to the proposed ASA.
Proposed modifications or objections to the proposed ASA may be filed with the North Newton Township Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission within 15 days of this published notice by mailing such modifications/objections in writing to: North Newton Township Board of Supervisors, 528 Oakville Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
The proposed ASA and any accompanying modifications/objections will be reviewed by the North Newton Township Agricultural Security Area Board on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. and by the Planning Commission on Tuesday, November 20, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. followed by a public hearing during the Board of Supervisors’ regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. All meetings will be held at the North Newton Township Park Community Hall, 528 Oakville Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
