Animal Shelter

North Newton Township has an agreement with the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter. The township is charged for stray animals taken to the shelter by residents. Visit their website for information on how you can help or adopt a pet. Be prepared to fall in love!

Should you have any problems regarding the acceptance of a stray, please call the Township office at (717) 776-7665.

PLEASE NOTE:
Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter offers a once a month low cost spay and neuter clinic for the public for CATS ONLY. Cats must be domesticated (not feral) and easy to handle. Please call the shelter for prices, dates of clinic, and to be added to their wait list.

The following services can also be provided the day of surgery for a small fee:

  • Microchip
  • Ear Cleaning
  • Distemper Vaccine
  • Flea/Tick Treatment
