Stoughstown Bridge Replacement

North Newton Township, in conjunction with PennDOT District 8-0, will present a plans display for the bridge replacement of S.R. 11 (Ritner Highway) Section 090, located approximately 3 miles south of the intersection of S.R. 11 and S.R. 233. The project replaces the existing single span bridge with a concrete box culvert. Approximately 200 feet of roadway reconstruction is included in the project, along with guide rail replacement and embankment work. An 11-mile detour route will be used during construction. The detour route will utilize SR 0233 (Centerville Road), SR 0174 (Walnut Bottom Road) and Interstate 81. A display of engineering plans, including the proposed detour, will be available for viewing at the Township building from April 4 through May 9, 2018 during normal business hours.

If special assistance is needed to enable the review of the plans by individuals with a disability, please contact PennDOT’s consultant representative, Jeffrey Chubb, P.E. at (717) 763-7211 in advance of the visit to allow time to arrange for the required accommodations.
